Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Texas designs fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial and residential settings. The Fire Sprinkler Designer will prepare layout drawings, perform hydraulic calculations, and ensure code compliance with NFPA and local codes.

The ideal candidate holds an active RME-G license, 3+ years of design experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, AutoSPRINK, and BIM 360. Strong collaboration with engineers and project managers is essential.

Qualifications

• Active RME-G license required.
• 3+ years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software: AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, AutoSPRINK, BIM 360.
• NICET Water-Based Systems Layout Level II+ preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; engineering/drafting degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply fire protection codes to design fire sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Develop working layouts and final master drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and project managers.
• Prepare proposal documents and technical data.
