Job summary

gpac partnered fire protection firm seeks an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join their growing team in Indianapolis, IN. You will design and develop fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, ensuring NFPA compliance and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of fire sprinkler design experience with AutoCAD, NICET Level I or higher, and strong communication. Occasional site visits and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of fire sprinkler design experience with AutoCAD.
• NICET Level I or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout.
• Strong understanding of NFPA codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Prepare detailed sprinkler layout drawings using AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and/or AutoSPRINK.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and system analysis.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and AHJs throughout project lifecycles.
• Conduct site visits, field measurements, and attend project meetings as needed.
• Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and construction documents.
• Assist with permitting and submittal packages.
• Ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
