Job summary

State Systems, Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer / CAD Drafter to keep projects organized and on schedule. You will prepare drawings, specs and schematics, design layouts, and ensure NFPA compliance while delivering quality service to customers.

Ideal candidates have AutoCAD proficiency, 2 years CAD experience, and strong MS Office skills. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• CAD: 2 years of experience.
• Windows-based AutoCAD design software: 2 years.
• Microsoft Word: 2 years.
• Microsoft Outlook: 2 years.
• Fire / Life Safety Design: 1-2 years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project drawings, specifications and schematics.
• Design layout, fabrication listing, material submittals, calculations.
• Ensure designs are in accordance with NFPA standards and deliver quality service.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure compliance with codes.
• Interact with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; desk-based work for 8 hours.
