Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Jackson, TN is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to design and prepare layout drawings for fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will apply fire protection codes, hydraulic calculations and CAD software.

You will read blueprints, coordinate with engineers and project managers, perform hydraulic analyses, prepare master drawings, and ensure compliance with NFPA and local codes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design.
• NICET certification (Level II or higher) in Water-Based Systems Layout preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and hydraulic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Apply fire protection codes to design sprinkler systems and water supplies.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare working drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and project managers.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA and local building codes.
