Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician to independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. The role requires technical competence and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision.

You will ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes, document findings accurately, and travel to job sites as required while supporting apprentices and maintaining safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
