Join Us as a Fire Service Technician at Sciens Building Solutions

We are seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician with programming, troubleshooting, and repair skills. This role involves working closely with our service team and clients to ensure our critical life safety systems are maintained efficiently, with a focus on attention to detail in troubleshooting and repairs. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective human interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Fire and Life Safety systems, including conventional, addressable, voice systems, smoke control, and networked solutions.
• Utilize troubleshooting tools to analyze systems and detect faults.
• Maximize system detection and alarm coverage during repairs.
• Produce NFPA-compliant repair reports for customer acceptance and billing.
• Program systems via laptops.
• Ensure fire alarm circuit integrity.
• Manage vehicle inventory and repair tools.
• Support and guide other technicians.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in fire safety systems repair or as a systems technician.
• Knowledge of current fire alarm systems and networked solutions.
• Understanding of NFPA 72 and NFPA 70 (Electrical Code) requirements.
• Ability to read fire system design drawings.
• NICET I Certification preferred.
• Proficiency with OSHA standards and certifications.
• Customer-focused with strong project and people management skills.
• Physical fitness to perform demanding work, including lifting and working at heights.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
