Job summary

ABF Security is seeking an experienced fire and security professional to translate field conditions into technically robust, code-aware solutions that can be sold and installed. You will build relationships, survey sites, and drive opportunities from discovery to proposal.

You will coordinate with customers, engineers, architects and AHJs, managing scope changes and ensuring successful handoffs through project coordination and follow-up.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant fire protection/system design experience.
• NICET Level II or higher.
• Strong knowledge of fire/building codes and NFPA requirements relevant to the work.
• Ability to read plans and understand construction coordination.
• Experience with floor-plan/CAD/design software.
• Strong customer communication, presentation, organization and project-management skills.
• A sales mindset: curiosity, follow-through, accountability and comfort asking for the business.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and develop new opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking and customer education.
• Survey sites, review plans/specifications and lead technical discovery.
• Develop system concepts, estimates, proposals and scope narratives.
• Prepare or coordinate layouts, shop drawings, submittals, battery calculations and voltage-drop calculations.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, architects, AHJs and construction trades.
• Identify scope changes and support change orders.
• Own follow-up and maintain visibility into your pipeline and forecast.
• Stay engaged from opportunity development through handoff and project coordination.
