Job summary

CertaSite is seeking a shop technician to perform maintenance and inspections on fire extinguishers and compressed gas cylinders. The role involves inventory management, tool upkeep, and adherence to safety standards across multiple locations within the shop network.

The position is ideal for an entry-level candidate with basic math skills, computer literacy, and a willingness to learn specialized fire-safety software and procedures. Local travel may be required to support customer sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math including fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions and software; learn industry devices and software.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory in the shop and assist with counts.
• Perform inventory counts as required.
• Keep shop organized and clean.
• Ensure DOT compliance for hydro systems and other key areas.
• Manage testing records and verify accuracy for inspections.
• Maintain, clean, and organize all shop tools.
• Record and document inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Work in compliance with the company safety program.
