Job summary

CertaSite, LLC is seeking a Shop Technician Apprentice to perform shop services for fire extinguishers, systems cylinders, and other compressed gas cylinders, ensuring compliance with life-safety standards and regulations. This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role reporting to the shop manager.

You will maintain inventory, assist with counts, ensure DOT compliance, manage testing records, keep tools organized, and support safety programs while building customer relationships and contributing to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to calculate fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Familiarity with basic computer functions and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory in the shop and assist with counts.
• Ensure DOT compliance for hydro systems and other key areas.
• Record and document inspections, repairs, and discrepancies.
• Keep shop organized and clean; manage tools and equipment.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships; assist with follow‑ups.
