GEO Secured Services in Florida seeks a Safety and Loss Prevention Leader to oversee safety programs across our facilities. You will develop procedures, conduct inspections, and train staff and inmates to ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and client requirements.

This role requires a bachelor’s in safety, professional certification within 2 years, and the ability to work independently and with teams. A valid driver’s license and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational/industrial health and safety with 2+ years in correctional safety or 5+ years in related field.
• Certification in fire and safety within 2 years of starting.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/NFPA and health and safety regulations.
• Ability to read safety documents and write reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety procedures for employees and inmates, contractors, and visitors.
• Conduct safety inspections and implement improvements.
• Provide ongoing safety training for staff and residents.
• Lead fire and safety staff and participate in audits.
• Manage hazardous materials and MSDS compliance.
• Establish sanitation, air quality, and lighting standards.
• Test fire protection systems and maintain NFPA compliance.
• Develop and run annual emergency drills and coordinate with local responders.
• Be on-call 24/7 for emergencies.
