Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Technical Support Manager to oversee estimating quality, field technician performance, and training development, in collaboration with sales, engineering, and operations.

The role focuses on creating and delivering training curriculums, mentoring technicians to expert levels, and ensuring designs meet safety and code standards. Travel may be required for project support and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Professional Fire Protection Engineer required.
• Experience designing complex fire systems with applicable codes (California Building Code, NFPA 72).
• Strong leadership and training capabilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and maintain fire alarm system training curricula for multiple levels (beginner to expert).
• Identify training needs and create development paths with records for field technicians.
• Create and lead an Expert Technical Support Specialist group and evaluate skill levels.
• Review smoke control designs for code compliance during bid and submittal stages.
• Collaborate with AHJs, architects, and engineers to resolve design/code conflicts.
