Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Project Manager in Suffolk, VA to lead the planning and delivery of commercial fire protection sprinkler projects. You will review plans for design and constructability and coordinate with multiple internal teams and vendors.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus 3+ years in fire protection project management. Travel is typically not overnight; strong communication and problem-solving skills are

Qualifications

• Preferred bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of Fire Protection project management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience on commercial construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal project teams, customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Oversee fire protection field construction to ensure design, budget and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate with pre-construction, sales, safety, purchasing, CAD/BIM and fabrication teams; develop construction plan and schedule.
• Prepare budgets, reports, cash flow analyses and revenue forecasts.
• Identify scope changes, prepare pricing, and process change orders.
• Oversee on-site QA/QC and safety procedures with the Superintendent.
• Manage subcontractor RFI/RFP processes and Change Orders.
