Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Fire Project Manager to oversee small-dollar Fire Systems Install projects from planning to closeout. You will coordinate delivery under the Installation/Operations/Project Manager, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time completion within budget.

You will lead field teams, manage scope, costs, and schedules, review contracts, and support invoices and customer communications. APM skills, MS Project, and a background in building construction are preferred; Johnson Controls

Qualifications

• Associate degree with equivalent work-related experience, or 5+ years direct field experience in Building Construction.
• Proficiency in Project Management software and financial accounting systems.
• Experience with MS Project, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Writer, Visio, and Windows environment.
• Ability to communicate technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple project priorities, schedules, billing activities, and customer expectations.
• Travel may be required based on project assignment and needs.

Responsibilities

• Own safety, scope, schedule, cost, and quality alignment on every project.
• Review field conditions and changes early to remove obstacles before delivery.
• Maintain project controls, financial tracking, and recovery plans for risk.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Designers, Subcontractors and customers to keep work moving.
• Communicate progress and financial status to management and stakeholders.
