Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a Fire Project Manager to lead the profitable execution of small-dollar Fire Systems Install projects, from early planning through closeout.

You will coordinate project delivery under the Installation/Operations Manager, blending field leadership, customer coordination, and financial control to ensure on-time, within-budget results aligned with contract terms. Qualifications

• Associate degree with equivalent work-related experience, or five years of direct field experience in Building Construction.
• Proficiency in Project Management software and financial accounting systems.
• Experience with MS Project, MS Office, Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environments.
• Ability to communicate technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple project priorities, schedules, billing activities, and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support profitable execution of small-dollar Fire Systems Install projects.
• Partner with leadership during early project development for scope, risk, and value engineering.
• Provide direction to engineers, designers, technicians, coordinators, estimators, and subcontractors.
• Manage scope, costs, resources, schedules, and cash flow to ensure delivery.
• Handle change orders and contract modifications as needed.
• Review contracts, prepare cost estimates and proposals, and support client acceptance.
• Oversee document controls, compliance, and material ordering per specs and codes.
• Coordinate plan submittals to authorities having jurisdiction and obtain permits.
• Assist with RFIs, subcontracts, and accounts payable and collections.
• Maintain relationships with customers, consultants, and subcontractors; participate in progress meetings.
