Job summary

S. A. Comunale in Louisville, KY is seeking a Fire Protection Inspector to perform NFPA-based inspections of water-based fire systems and fire alarm systems.

This role requires travel to customer sites and lifting capability as needed, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and completeness of inspection reports. The ideal candidate holds NICET LV 1 (ITWBS) or equivalent, a backflow license, and a solid knowledge of NFPA 25/72 standards, with a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or trade school is a plus.
• NICET LV 1 (ITWBS) minimum.
• Backflow license preferred; sprinkler inspector experience.
• Perform NFPA 25/72 inspections on multiple fire protection systems.
• Able to lift 35 pounds; valid driver's license; NICET certification obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Perform NFPA based inspections of water-based fire systems and fire alarm systems.
• Perform inspections from man lifts at elevations of 30 to 40 feet from ground level, as necessary.
• Perform annual inspections on both domestic and fire back flows.
• Monitor and assure progress and completion of all assigned tasks.
• Complete and submit all work tickets and inspection reports to administrative personnel in a timely manner.
• Responsible for self-scheduling of daily inspections.
