Houston Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Protection Sales/Estimator in the Humble, TX area to estimate fire alarm and low voltage systems, prepare proposals, and coordinate bids with vendors and subs. You will review RFPs, drawings, and specs to define scope and contents of estimates, and assemble estimating spreadsheets for small to mid-size projects.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license.
• Minimum 5 years in design or estimating in the fire alarm industry.
• Familiarity with NFPA and NEC code.
• Proficient in MS Office and estimating software.
• Ability to read fire alarm layouts and perform take-offs.

Aufgaben

• Estimating and preparing proposals for fire alarm and low voltage systems.
• Laying out bids, completing material takeoffs, and obtaining vendor pricing.
• Review RFPs, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work.
• Prepare fire alarm system take-offs and solicit subcontractor bids.
• Assemble estimating spreadsheets and support other departments.
