Job summary

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) invites motivated students for a 2027 Summer internship in our Los Angeles, CA office. As an Intern, you will work alongside industry-leading engineers on construction monitoring, field investigations, and design tasks to gain hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction monitoring, field investigations, and observations as well as project drafting and analysis.
• Analyze materials and develop test protocols; assist with testing and data analysis.
• Collaborate with SGH engineers on reconnaissance of existing structures and field tests.
• Organize field data and assist research to support analysis and repair design.
• Perform analysis under supervision using hand calcs and software.
• Assist in preparing client deliverables like construction documents and reports.
• Travel and heights may be required.
