Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to work with a robust team on diverse building projects across local, national, and global markets.

You will help develop drawings, calculations, and analyses for fire sprinkler systems, suppression, and life-safety provisions, collaborating with licensed engineers and designers. Ideal candidates have a PE license in the U.S., 5+ years of experience, and familiarity with NFPA/ICC codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Safety Technology or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of related professional experience.
• PE in any U.S. State, having passed the fire protection engineering examination.
• Will not require sponsorship for employment in the U.S.
• Familiarity with NFPA and ICC codes and standards.
• Willingness to travel to jobs sites around the world (10–15%).
• Experience in fire sprinkler, suppression, and fire alarm system layout utilizing hydraulic calculation programs, and knowledge of NFPA Codes and International Building and Fire Codes.

• Develop and apply fire protection design skills to deliver challenging building projects across markets.
• Direct design staff to produce drawings and calculations for fire sprinkler, suppression, fire alarm, and life-safety systems.
