Procon seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to join our team focused on federal sector projects. The role involves reviewing designs and plans to ensure Life Safety Code compliance, NFPA standards adherence, and field surveys at active construction sites.

You will conduct inspections, review hydraulics, and support commissioning across K-12, federal, and commercial facilities. Collaborating with registered Professional Engineers, you will develop deliverables, lead safety initiatives, and guide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certification preferred.
• 2–5 years FP/LS design, reviews, field surveys, inspections.
• NFPA standards and ICC codes knowledge.
• NICET III or PE in FP required.
• Field experience with fire protection systems and life-safety documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; effective communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for site work.

Responsabilités

• Review drawings and docs for compliance with fire protection and life-safety codes.
• Perform technical reviews to ensure Life Safety Code and NFPA/ICC compliance.
• Conduct surveys, audits, and assessments at facilities and sites.
• Field inspections to verify materials and installations meet requirements.
• Review sprinkler designs and hydraulic calculations for code compliance.
• Evaluate sensing and suppression systems for compliance and safety.
• Prepare technical reports, findings, and project records.
• Respond to client inquiries on fire protection requirements.
• Support design, construction, testing, and commissioning across facilities.
• Collaborate with licensed engineers on deliverables and lead safety initiatives.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and assist with leadership during absences.
• Identify deficiencies and drive corrective actions with stakeholders.
