IMEG Corporation is seeking a Fire Protection Project Designer to lead design efforts for fire alarm, suppression, and smoke control systems across varied projects. You will prepare detailed designs, calculations, and specifications while collaborating with engineers and clients to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role involves budgeting, scheduling, and guiding junior staff, with emphasis on safety, quality, and compliance to IMEG standards. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field; EIT preferred.
• NICET Level II/III certification in Fire Alarm or Water‑Based Systems Layout preferred
• 3+ years in building design consulting industry; 7+ years in alternate track with BIM/engineering background

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for fire protection systems and perform analyses.
• Create detailed designs, specs, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Mentor less experienced staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Engage with clients to gather requirements and communicate solutions.
• Support budgeting, scheduling, and project progression to meet deadlines.
