Job summary

Intelligent Fire Systems & Solutions (IFSS) is seeking an Apprentice to support fire protection testing, documentation, and reporting to ensure compliance with LAFD Chief’s Regulation No. 4 and other codes.

The role contributes to maintaining systems in proper working order and accurate reporting to protect people and property. The position requires basic knowledge of NFPA standards, ability to work in the field at customer sites, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; valid driver's license.
• Experience with fire protection systems and NFPA standards is preferred.
• Ability to document findings clearly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist with testing of fire alarm systems and reporting results.
• Coordinate with property owners and LAFD representatives as needed.
• Maintain documentation of deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Stay current with changes to Chief’s Regulation No. 4 and NFPA standards.
