Job summary

Intelligent Fire Systems & Solutions (IFSS) is a fire-life safety construction and service company dedicated to protecting lives and assets. The Regulation 4 Certified Tester will perform testing, inspections, and reporting to ensure compliance with Chief’s Regulation No.

4 and related codes, working on systems at customer sites and coordinating with property owners and LAFD representatives. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, documentation, and timely communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Regulation 4 certification required (current/active).
• Prior experience performing inspection/testing/maintenance of fire sprinkler systems preferred (2+ years).
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct annual and periodic testing of fire alarm systems per applicable code and jurisdiction requirements.
• Verify system functionality and document results per standards and project requirements.
• Complete and submit test results via the LAFD-approved Compliance Engine within required timelines.
• Notify property owners or managers of any deficiencies requiring repair or retesting.
