Fortis Fire & Safety, Inc. is hiring a Sprinkler Construction Apprentice to support foremen and crew in installing fire sprinkler systems across California projects, including new builds and retrofits. Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant fire sprinkler experience.
• Knowledge of NFPA 13 standards for fire sprinkler systems.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and fire codes.
• Basic understanding of measurements and the ability to perform accurate calculations.
• Familiarity with operating hand and power tools such as saws, drills, pipe threaders, wrenches, and lifts.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Capable of solving practical problems and adapting to changing job site conditions.
• Able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to maintain accurate written and electronic documentation (e.g., timesheets, work tickets, inspection reports).
• Adherence to safety practices and Cal/OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation of fire sprinkler systems on various construction sites, including new builds, retrofits, and tenant improvements.
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of PPE and Cal/OSHA standards.
• Apply company and industry-standard methods for pipe fabrication, layout, and system assembly.
• Attend required safety, training, and educational meetings to improve trade knowledge and address job site safety concerns.
• Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all tasks, upholding company values and a positive team environment.
