Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of related experience in fire service.
• Experience in a management position leading a team of people.
• TCFP Advanced Fire Inspector or greater.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Fire and Life Safety Department initiatives.
• Supervise Fire & Life Safety Technicians and inspectors.
• Conduct fire safety inspections and public education.
• Perform risk reduction and fire investigations.
• Assist in budget development for the department.

Skills

Knowledge of fire and life safety code compliance

Ability to work around electrically charged and/or rotating machinery

Strong leadership and communication skills

Organizational and time management skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or Fire Science

Master’s degree in fire science or related field
