Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of experience in fire and life safety or related field.
• Must have DOT security training or ability to take training within 60 days.
• Texas Driver's Licence or ability to acquire within 60 days.
• Knowledge of inspection, testing and maintenance of fire extinguishers and hydrants.
• Must be able to operate hand tools; ability to operate hydrostatic testing equipment.
• Fire Inspector certification (preferred).
• Certified/licensed fire extinguisher technician; other fire system certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections for one or more fire and life safety systems or equipment types.
• Schedules inspections of fire and life safety systems or equipment.
• Documents flow test of campus fire hydrants and updates databases as appropriate.
• Provides current flow test data/conducts new flow test as needed for new construction/renovation projects.
• Assists construction groups with relevant data.
