Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee fire and life safety projects in California. You will manage field operations, coordinate with sales and installation teams, ensure design conformance, and keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The role emphasizes client interaction, staff management, and adherence to safety standards, with opportunities for professional development and career growth.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of project management experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of applicable code requirements.
• Customer-centric and proficient in managing teams and projects.
• Able to manage scheduling, progress, and cost with focus on quality.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Strong communication skills; OSHA knowledge; NICET preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all project phases, coordinating workers, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain project on budget; identify overruns and mitigate.
• Assist in estimate development and understand scope before start date.
• Maintain open communication with customers, contractors, and partners.
• Review design drawings for conformance with regulations and standards.
• Update manpower planning tool for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with finance to review and obtain customer approval of billings.
• Develop lessons learned from project data.
• Provide monthly updates to project budgets including cost to complete.
• Participate in pre-bid reviews and project turnover meetings.
• Responsible for project financials including job costs, billing, and margins.
• Ensure PPE is in place as required.
• Comply with Sciens safety programs/policies.
