Sciens Building Solutions in New Jersey seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead fire and life safety system projects from design through commissioning, ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

You will coordinate field operations, manage budgets and schedules, review drawings for code compliance, and maintain clear communication with customers, contractors, and project partners to drive successful turnovers.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years PM experience in construction
• Strong knowledge of applicable code requirements
• Customer-centric, capable of leading teams
• Ability to manage scheduling and progress cost-effectively
• Ability to estimate and propose change orders
• Ability to read blueprints and project specs
• Excellent organizational and decision-making skills
• Strong verbal and written communication
• OSHA knowledge
• NICET certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversight for all project phases, coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, on schedule and within budget.
• Ensure project is on budget, identify overruns, develop and implement mitigating actions.
• Assist in estimate development; clarify scope and contract requirements before start date.
• Maintain open lines of communication with customers, contractors, and project partners.
• Review design drawings for conformance with regulations, specs, and standards.
• Assist Operations Manager in updating manpower planning tool for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with finance to review and gain customer approval of billings.
• Develop lessons learned from project data.
• Provide monthly updates to project budgets including cost to complete.
• Participate in pre-bid reviews and project turnover meetings to ensure scope understanding.
• Responsible for project financials including job costs, billing, and margins.
• Ensure PPE is in place as required by the project or scope.
• Comply with safety policies and Sciens procedures.
