Job summary

Constellis is seeking a Fire Inspector to ensure compliance with fire safety laws, conducting inspections and training installation personnel in fire prevention and life safety. The role covers field and office work with potential travel and 40-hour weeks.

Candidates must be certified (IFSAC/Pro-Board) and obtain Public Fire and Life Safety Educator 2 within 12 months of hire. Responsibilities include collecting facility data, referencing NFPA standards, and documenting findings while ensuring

Qualifications

• Must meet Fire Inspector II certification requirements.
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and related fire codes.

Responsibilities

• Daily, Weekly and Monthly maintenance of assigned vehicle.
• Conduct Fire Prevention Inspections per NFPA standards and regulations.
• Collect technical information on buildings/facilities.
• Research manuals and codes to determine fire characteristics.
• Shut down operations when violations threaten safety.
• Provide fire warden training and involvement in prevention/suppression.
• Document inspection findings and deficiencies in the data system.
• Inspect and replace extinguishers as needed.
• Work in busy office and field environments; travel may be required.
