Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a field inspector to evaluate fire and life safety systems across commercial, industrial, residential, and hospitality settings. You will read building codes, interpret technical documents, and communicate findings to building owners and managers.

Role requires travel, strong ethics, and high safety standards. Candidates should hold relevant engineering qualifications and inspector certifications, with a home-based posting near an airport for travel flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret building codes, technical manuals, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficient use of computers and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings for fire and life safety and fire protection systems for code compliance.
• Travel to Commercial, Industrial, Residential, and Hospitality sites to meet owners and managers.
• Read codes and manuals, and identify non-compliant installations.
• Document deviations and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of codes, standards, and industry trends.
