Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire & Life Safety service technician to diagnose, repair, and install systems at customer sites in the Chantilly area. You will work with blueprints, manuals and various life-safety devices, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

The role requires reading schematics, performing on-site repairs, and coordinating with customers and team members. A valid license and strong safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety.
• Read and interpret blueprints, submittals and manuals; use test equipment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and ascertain equipment/product issues.
• Diagnose problems and perform service/repairs on fire alarm and related systems.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and refer to manuals and bulletins.
• Read blueprints and schematics; communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Provide on-site service, install and test equipment; complete documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation and mentor other team members.
