Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Inspector to perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical, sprinkler, or suppression life safety product lines in the Seattle area. The role requires hands-on work with low voltage wiring, reading blueprints, and documenting outcomes.

You will travel to sites, carry tools, and potentially work weekends to meet customer needs. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years experience in low voltage electrical systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs.
• Capable of lifting 50-70 lbs and climbing ladders.
• Willingness to travel & work flexible hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines.
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance.
• Work with low voltage wiring and related devices.
• Document inspections and input data via laptop or paper.
• Provide basic training to junior inspectors and trainees.
• Complete inspections on schedule and assist as needed.
