Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a field inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance on electrical, sprinkler or suppression life-safety product lines. You will test systems, document work, and handle low voltage wiring in customer environments.

The role requires physical labor, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to climb ladders or work in challenging positions. A High School Diploma and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
• Ability to work well with others and learn quickly.
• Self-starting with minimal supervision and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient with basic computer tools (MS Office) and smartphones.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems and life-safety product lines for existing and new customers.
• Maintain proper documentation of work performed using provided tools.
• Work with low voltage wiring and related devices for system operation.
• Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding via laptop or paper.
• Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule and archive documents digitally.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes to inspected systems.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work area.
