Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Fire Life Safety Director to oversee fire safety at a Corporate Investment Headquarters in New York. The role includes managing the Fire Command Station, supervising fire wardens and evacuation teams, and coordinating with the NYC Fire Department during emergencies.

The position is full-time with shifts from 7am to 3pm, seven days a week. Pay is $27.00 per hour; ideal candidates will have a NY Certificate of Fitness (F85 or F89) and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and NY Certificate of Fitness (F85/F89).
• Excellent communication, customer service and professional presentation.
• Ability to prepare and maintain written reports and logs; some computer use is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee life safety systems and building fire safety plans on site.
• Supervise Fire Wardens and evacuation teams and coordinate drills.
• Act as liaison to NYC Fire Department during emergencies.
• Provide clear directions to visitors, vendors and employees in emergencies.
• Verify badges and restrict unauthorized access; monitor for suspicious activity.
• Maintain safety and incident logs and report as needed.
• Respond to emergencies with CPR/AED and first aid as required.
