Qualifications

• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public
• Must be able to prepare written reports and logs; may require computer skills
• Must read and understand operating procedures and instructions
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Background investigation and post-offer drug/alcohol test required
• Must maintain current active status of all required Licenses while on duty

Responsibilities

• Oversee the building's fire safety plan and Fire Command Station
• Supervise Fire Wardens, Deputy Fire Wardens, Building Evacuation Team
• Liaise with NYC Fire Department during emergencies
• Conduct fire alarm drills and maintain critique logs
• Provide clear directions to visitors, vendors and staff during emergencies
• Ensure life safety systems and equipment are fully functional
