Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; fire extinguishers and suppression system training preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Basic knowledge of electricity and ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience as a Fire Technician is preferred.
• Ability to read NFPA standards (10, 13, 17, 17a, 25, 72, 96) and related manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual maintenance/inspections of fire extinguishers.
• Determine proper type, quantity, and placement of extinguishers based on hazard.
• Exchange or replace extinguishers needing service; replace obsolete units.
• Install extinguisher cabinets, brackets, and wall hangers.
• Indicate type, size, and location on inspection reports.
• Perform semi-annual and annual inspections of restaurant/industrial suppression systems, sprinklers, and alarms.
• Document findings and note deficiencies on reports; communicate non-compliance issues.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors, and team members for repairs and maintenance.
• Provide technical support on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Build partnerships to grow business within the industry; adhere to safety guidelines.
