Loyal Source is seeking a Fire Installation Technician for projects throughout the Austin, Texas area. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing, programming, and commissioning fire alarm systems and can independently manage projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities include installing, testing, and commissioning systems, reading blueprints, ensuring code compliance, and traveling to job sites in the Austin area. A Texas Fire Alarm License is required.

Fire Installation Technician

Location: Austin, TX

Loyal Source is seeking a skilled Fire Installation Technician to support fire alarm installation projects throughout the Austin, Texas area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, programming, and commissioning fire alarm systems and be capable of independently managing projects from start to finish.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial environments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all installations meet applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Perform system startup, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Document work completed and communicate project status to management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Manage assigned projects independently from installation through final completion.
• Travel to project sites throughout the Austin, TX area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience installing and programming fire alarm systems.
• Valid Texas Fire Alarm License required.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, wiring methods, and industry best practices.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Work Environment

• Projects are located throughout the Austin, TX area.
• Typical project duration ranges from 1 to 5 days.
• All necessary materials and parts will be provided; technicians are responsible for completing installations from beginning to end.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying indoor/outdoor environments.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
