Job summary

Hanes Supply, Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Technician. This full-time role assists the Fire Shop Manager during inspections and provides on-the-job training to become a Certified Technician, gaining skills to inspect and maintain extinguishers.

Qualifications

• Must have basic MS Office skills and be computer literate.
• Knowledge of safety rules in a manufacturing environment.
• Organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize in a team.
• Able to respond quickly and calmly to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, recharge and replace fire extinguishers at shop and customer locations.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment free from hazards.
• Break down and dispose expired extinguisher materials.
• Operate the Air Pressure Test Machine, Hopper Filler and related equipment safely.
