Job summary

Century Fire Protection seeks a field technician to inspect, repair, and test fire extinguishers using hand tools and hydrostatic test equipment, as well as dismantling for inspections and replacement of worn parts.

The role includes cleaning and recharging extinguishers, testing for compliance, installing cabinets/brackets, and supporting sales efforts for fire protection products. A high school diploma or GED and related experience are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Dismantle extinguishers and inspect parts for defects and replace worn parts
• Clean extinguishers and recharge with various agents
• Test extinguishers for conformity with legal specifications
• Install cabinets and brackets to hold extinguishers
• Facilitate and support sales of fire extinguishers
