Job summary

Approved Fire Protection & Security (AFPS) seeks a full-time Portables Technician to test, inspect, service, and install portable extinguishers and life-safety gear. The role blends shop work with field duties, and involves demonstrations and customer training.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel throughout NY & PA as needed. DOT HazMat endorsement is preferred after hire. Competitive pay with benefits.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service, recharge, and install portable fire extinguishers per NFPA standards.
• Inspect and repair emergency and exit lighting.
• Conduct customer fire extinguisher training and demonstrations.
• Complete inspection and service documentation accurately and promptly.
