Henderson Engineers in Franklin, TN seeks a Fire Engineering Manager in our Community/Health sector. You will lead a team of engineers and designers, mentoring and career development, while delivering technically excellent fire design and coordination across disciplines.

The role blends technical leadership with people management, design documents, calculations, client communication, and project delivery, requiring PE and broad knowledge of codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred or pursuing licensure.
• Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam Revu and MS Office.
• Experience in design of building systems and coordination across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and designers within the assigned sector, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Act as hiring manager and career coach, conduct interviews and provide feedback on skills progression.
• Coordinate staff assignments to align with project scopes and monitor progress toward objectives.
• Provide coaching and set clear goals through regular one-on-one meetings.
• Oversee project coordination activities, client communications, and design quality reviews.
