Job summary

A national research organization is seeking a Fire Engineer to support Research and Development efforts at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center. Located on-site at Tyndall Air Force Base, the ideal candidate will work on firefighting agents and extinguishment systems in military environments. Requirements include a BS in a related engineering field and 2+ years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performs RDT&E of moderate complexity by compiling and evaluating design and test data.
• Designs experimentation procedures for evaluation of fire extinguishment systems.
• Performs engineering analysis of data collected and presents findings via technical reports.

Skills

Knowledge of fire research and/or firefighting practices

Proactive, self-starter

Ability to work independently and in a team

Education

BS in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, fire protection engineering
