Air Force Test Center at Edwards AFB is seeking a highly skilled Firefighter/EMT (GS-0081-07). The role involves airfield firefighting, crash-rescue operations, vehicle operation, and non-invasive emergency medical procedures at the 412 Civil Engineer Group (812 CES/CEF).

Typical 2026 salary range is $79,934.40–$103,896.00 per year (includes locality). Up to 25% travel may be required; a valid DoD/State driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have at least 4 years of structural and aircraft firefighting experience.
• Knowledge of modern structural fire dynamics with emphasis on search and rescue execution.
• Ability to operate and drive firefighting vehicles and ARFF equipment.

Responsabilités

• Initiates established medical protocols and provides basic life support; conducts patient assessment.
• Drives and operates firefighting vehicles including pumpers and airport rescue units.
• Performs crash-rescue and firefighting duties in aviation and support operations.
• Maintains firefighting equipment and station facilities.
• Adheres to safety, health, and environmental rules and procedures.
