Job summary

The Town of Stratham is accepting applications for EMS Call Members to support emergency medical response and community health services. This is a paid, on-call volunteer position.

Responsibilities include responding to calls, assessing patients, documenting care, and maintaining equipment; training and outreach are also required. Stratham residents have specific licensing prerequisites; non-residents should hold NR EMT/AEMT with NH license and may have additional preferences.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• For Stratham residents: HS diploma or GED; NH driver’s license; meet medical/physical/training requirements; background check; training requirements discussed.
• For non-Stratham residents: NR EMT or AEMT with NH license; NH driver’s license; meet medical/physical/training; background check; AEMT/Paramedic preferred.

Minimum Requirements

For Stratham Residents

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid New Hampshire driver's license (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to meet department medical, physical, and training requirements.
• Successful background check.
• Training and certification requirements will be discussed based on qualifications and department needs.

For Non-Stratham Residents

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current National Registry EMT or AEMT certification with a New Hampshire EMS license.
• Valid New Hampshire driver's license.
• Ability to meet department medical, physical, and training requirements.
• Successful background check.
• AEMT or Paramedic certification preferred.
