Job summary

The Town of Stratham is accepting applications for EMS Call Members to support emergency medical response and community health services. This is a paid, on-call volunteer position.

Responsibilities include responding to calls, assessing patients, documenting care, and maintaining equipment; training and outreach are also required. Stratham residents have specific licensing prerequisites; non-residents should hold NR EMT/AEMT with NH license and may have additional preferences.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• For Stratham residents: HS diploma or GED; NH driver’s license; meet medical/physical/training requirements; background check; training requirements discussed.
• For non-Stratham residents: NR EMT or AEMT with NH license; NH driver’s license; meet medical/physical/training; background check; AEMT/Paramedic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency medical calls and provide pre-hospital patient care
• Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and assist with treatment and transport
• Complete patient care reports accurately and promptly
• Participate in training, drills, and continuing education
• Maintain EMS equipment, ambulances, and station readiness
• Support community EMS outreach and public education activities
