Job summary

Siemens Mobility is offering a 10-week Fire Alarm Systems Project Management Internship at the New York area branch. You will rotate through smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure, spending most time on project management while also engaging with sales and service departments. Relocation support is not provided.

Open to rising juniors pursuing relevant engineering or construction degrees. Experience with Windows laptops and basic tools, strong teamwork, and English communication are

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a 4-year U.S. college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Energy/Sustainability and Built Environment.
• Rising Junior
• Ability to work 40-hours per week for the 10-week program (May - July or June - August)
• Relocation: No relocation assistance or housing stipend. Must be willing and able to work at the branch office location and surrounding local area.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from worksite. Mileage will be reimbursed.
• This program does not support students on a Visa such as F1, J1, M1 and H1B as well as OPT/CPT.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and project documents to establish a delivery plan.
• Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team.
• Manage procurement of supplies and materials for projects.
• Participate in project cost reviews.
• Track labor resources and project progress.
• Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
• Complete project close-out documentation.
• Rotate through other departments to learn branch operations.
