Silco Fire & Security in Columbus, OH is seeking an outside fire alarm systems sales representative to generate new installation projects through electrical contractors and end users. You will also secure the monitoring/service contracts following installation and may need to travel locally.

The role emphasizes prospecting, consultative selling, presenting proposals, building relationships with customers and partners, negotiating terms, and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline to meet or exceed

Qualifications

• Proven track record of success in B2B sales.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Technical aptitude and interest in fire alarm systems and codes.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented.
• Prior fire alarm or low voltage sales experience preferred but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting and lead generation through multiple channels.
• Consultative selling with needs assessments and site evaluations.
• Solution presentation and proposal delivery.
• Relationship building with customers, contractors, engineers, and property managers.
• Quoting and negotiation to secure profitable contracts.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and report progress.
• Stay informed on industry trends, regulations and technologies.
• Provide pre-sale support and ensure smooth project handoff.
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and customer service.
