Job summary

Silco Fire & Security in Ohio is seeking an alarm installer/ technician to advance your technical skills. You will install and program fire alarm systems, mount sensors, and ensure safe, compliant operation while learning cutting-edge technology through our training programs.

As part of a growing, family-owned team, you will inspect and test systems, document work orders, and help customers understand how to use their protection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent communication and customer-first mindset.
• Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install and program fire alarm control panels and equipment per plans.
• Mount sensors and run wiring following safety standards.
• Connect system components and address customer preferences.
• Show customers how to operate the alarm system and address questions.
• Inspect, test, and document installations or repairs.
• Review plans and work orders to plan layouts and wiring.
• Identify and fix malfunctions and order parts as needed.
• Prepare reports per SOP and submit installation records.
