Job summary

CertaSite is hiring a Fire Alarm & Suppression Level II technician to join our life-safety team. You will perform installation, inspection, testing, and service of fire alarm, engineered and pre-engineered suppression systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and standards and client requirements.

The role requires field presence, willingness to work nights and weekends as needed, and the ability to read blueprints, interpret wiring diagrams, and troubleshoot on-site. Valid U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in fire detection and signaling with 12 months in fire alarm systems (installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, or related).
• Ability to calculate basic math including fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Knowledge of reading blueprints and wiring diagrams; able to operate basic software and devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, inspection and testing of fire alarm and suppression systems per NFPA codes.
• Program, test, inspect, complete as-built drawings, and train customers on installations.
• Record inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations.
• Maintain positive customer relations and communicate with colleagues for follow-up.
