Job summary

Control Systems, Inc. is seeking skilled Service Technicians and Inspectors to join the team.

You will inspect, test, service, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm and sprinkler systems, read blueprints, and communicate with owners and contractors on-site. Ideal candidates will have experience programming low voltage systems (fire alarms, nurse calls, access control, CCTV) and possess strong communication and attendance records.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office.
Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
Industry related NICET and/or state certification is preferred or obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

Inspectors shall perform all inspection, testing and some repair tasks on fire alarm, sprinkler and security systems.
Service technicians shall respond to scheduled and emergency service requests and perform in-depth trouble shooting, repair and/or replacement of system equipment.
Fire Extinguisher and Kitchen Hood Service Technicians are also desired.
Service Technicians will have the ability to program fire alarm systems or have experience with programing low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security or CCTV.
Frequently resolve problems through research of multiple alternatives.
Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
Assist customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Effectively communicate project status to management.
Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
