Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair complex fire alarm systems. The role requires interpreting drawings, wiring schematics, and coordinating with the team to ensure high-quality service.

The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple manufacturers, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining thorough documentation. This is an on-site position in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry standards for fire alarm systems installation.
• Experience with a variety of system manufacturers.
• Troubleshooting skills including researching online and using system manuals to resolve problems.
• Experience with conduit bending and understanding blueprints and wiring schematics for system installations.
• Exceptional communication skills with customers, field personnel, office staff and sub-contractors.
• Must be flexible adapting to changing priorities and assignments, and other interruptions affecting progress.
• Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems with minimal supervision.
• Assist in testing large scale fire alarm/mass notification networks.
• Perform inspections of fire alarm, sprinkler and extinguisher systems.
• Read drawings/specs to determine layout requirements.
• Assist in training and directing helpers.
• Maintain documentation for work performed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
